Jason “Jake” Treese joined Galapagos in March 2024 as the Global Head of Quality, bringing with him nearly three decades of experience in Quality Assurance and Operations within the pharmaceutical industry.
Prior to joining Galapagos, Jake served as the Vice President of Internal Manufacturing Quality at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), where he was responsible for overseeing Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) efforts, notably contributing to the regulatory approval and growth of CAR-T products Abecma® and Breyanzi®.
Jake’s career also includes quality and operations leadership positions at companies such as AstraZeneca, GSK, and Merck & Co.
At Galapagos, Jake leads the Global Quality team, working to ensure end-to-end coordination with key stakeholders such as the Development and Technical Operations teams. His immediate focus will be on helping to build our decentralized CAR-T manufacturing network to support the progress and expansion of CAR-T clinical trials in Europe and the US, with the ultimate goal of establishing a commercial CAR-T manufacturing footprint.
