Guy Peeters joined Galapagos in June 2020 as Head of Commercial Finance and moved in April 2021 to the Head of Finance role, strengthening the finance function under his leadership. He was promoted to Senior Vice President, leading Finance and Procurement as of April 2023.
Prior to joining Galapagos, Guy was Senior Finance Director for Janssen Germany. He spent 15 years in Johnson & Johnson (J&J) holding financial roles at various J&J locations in the U.S., Belgium and Germany and brings extensive experience in mergers & acquisitions finance, local and global US and EU commercial finance roles as well as pharmaceutical research & development finance. Guy started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in external audit.
Guy holds a Master in Applied Economics from the University of Antwerp and a Supplementary Degree in International Taxation from the University of Leuven.
