Srikant Ramaswami

Srikant (Sri) Ramaswami, MS, JD, is Senior Vice President and Global Head of Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations at Galapagos. Sri is a member of Galapagos’ Management Committee, where he plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s global public affairs strategy, enhancing relations with key external stakeholders, and broadening Galapagos’ profile beyond Europe, while expanding the investor base.

With more than 25 years of expertise in communications, public affairs, and stakeholder management within the life sciences sector, Sri brings a wealth of global experience, having held leadership roles across the U.S., Japan, China, and India. His vast industry knowledge spans pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cultural communications, and digital trends, making him a trusted advisor in setting and executing strategy with senior leaders and boards.

Before joining Galapagos, Sri served as Vice President and Head of U.S. Commercial Communications at GSK, where he led strategic communications for oncology, respiratory, specialty, and vaccines, as well as employee engagement efforts. He also played a key role working with investor relations to ensure effective communication between the U.S. business and the investment community. Sri supported the U.S. Pharmaceuticals President and was a trusted member of the U.S. Commercial Leadership Team.

Sri’s previous leadership roles include Vice President and Chief Communications Officer at Caris Life Sciences, where he oversaw all aspects of internal and external communications. Earlier in his career, he held several senior positions at Johnson & Johnson, including Global Leader for Stakeholder Activation at J&J Medical Devices and Vice President of Communications for the Asia-Pacific region. Sri also led J&J’s Pharmaceuticals Business communications in China. Sri’s career highlights his commitment to and passion for patient advocacy, and driving business success through strategic communication.

He holds a Doctorate in Jurisprudence (JD) from Buffalo Law School, a Master of Science (MS) in Journalism from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Politics and Economics from Brandeis University. Sri is passionate about fashion, music, chess, and creative writing.
